Welcome to our Giffnock survey

Thank you for showing interest in this survey which will help inform a Local Action Plan for Giffnock.

Over the next 5 years, the UK and Scottish Governments are providing capital regeneration funding opportunities for town centres and neighbourhoods across Scotland and our Economic Development team want to ensure that communities in East Renfrewshire are able to make the most of these opportunities by delivering on transformational plans across the area.

The Local Action Plans will help identify and develop projects that could be delivered when funding opportunities arise.

The investments can cover a wide range of projects such as upgrading town centre public realm and green spaces, making better use of land and existing buildings, shop front improvement schemes, improved digital connectivity and developing active travel opportunities.

The detailed responses received will be discussed within the Council and with stakeholders, and a draft list of short, medium, and long-term projects will be produced for further public input prior to finalisation.

The online consultation for Giffnock will run from 3 October until the 14 November 2022. There'll also be public meetings during the day and in the evenings as follows:

  • Eastwood House - Tuesday 4 October - 9.30am to 11am
  • Eastwood House - Wednesday 5 October - 3pm to 7pm
  • You are welcome to attend any of these meetings

If you'd like to be kept informed about regeneration in your area and haven't already subscribed, email business@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk and include your name, post code and town of interest.
